October 24th

Thanks to everyone that turned out yesterday! It was a great time with a great group of people. Many were from a variety of organizations and it was great to share with each other.

Look out for our volunteers on November 12th at the Thao show. We always love to meet new people! Check out Thao Nguyen on Oxfam's blog speaking about why climate change matters...right now.

52 days

52 days until the talks begin in Copenhagen. I'm writing to urge everyone to join us on October 24th. October 24th won't be like anything you've ever seen before--not just in terms of scope and scale, but in terms of diversity as well. October 24th events will be of every stripe and color--in addition to the thousands of amazing rallies, educational events, and protests, there will be unique contributions from unlikely places and people.

THE PLAN:
At 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24th we'll gather at the base of the UT Tower on the South Mall.

At 3:50 p.m. THE WALK WILL BEGIN towards the Capitol building.
Consider showing your support by making/wearing creative solutions-based signs with ideas for solving our climate crisis.

Bikes, kids, dogs, mom's, dad's neighbors, friends, enemies, republicans, democrats, young, old...ALL are encouraged to participate.

There are many events occuring here in Austin. Check out the 350.org site for more event information. To RSVP for the rally click here.

Hope to see you there!!
